Tech entrepreneur arrested in fatal stabbing of Cash App founder Bob Lee

On Thursday, San Francisco Police arrested Nima Momeni for the stabbing death of Bob Lee, one of the founders of CashApp. Lee was killed in early April, and the killing was initially thought to be a random act. Momeni and Lee knew each other, although the nature of their relationship remains unclear. Momeni runs an IT services company in the Bay Area, according to his LinkedIn profile and state records. Lee was an executive at the cryptocurrency firm MobileCoin after helping found CashApp. No information on a possible motive for the crime or any additional details has been made public. Elon Musk used the crime to criticize San Francisco District Attorney Brooke Jenkins, but Jenkins called Musk’s comments “reckless and irresponsible” and “spread misinformation.” Lee’s family thanked the police and expressed their desire to work with the District Attorney’s office to ensure that Momeni is not allowed to hurt anyone else or walk free.
