Texas College Steer Softball Team Headed to RRAC Championship Tournament

The Texas College Steer Softball team has had an incredible season. The team was victorious over Prairie View A&M University and Grambling State, both nationally ranked NCAA Division I teams. The softball team also secured a win against San Jacinto College, a nationally ranked NJCAA Division 1 junior college. Now, the team is headed to the RRAC Championship Tournament. 

Coach Jasmine Becks has led the team to finish the regular season with an overall record of approximately .500 (19-19). The RRAC Softball Championship Tournament will begin May 4th at Louisiana Christian University. The last time the Texas College Steer softball team made it this far was in 2009. This is the school’s fifth appearance in the RRAC Softball Championship Tournament. Texas College’s Athletic Director, Randy Butler, stated, “I couldn’t be more proud of the softball team and this accomplishment.” The Steers have worked hard this season and look forward to the upcoming Championship Tournament.
