Travis Hunter set to miss upcoming USC game after injury

Colorado’s star player, Travis Hunter, will miss another game due to a lacerated liver he sustained on Sept. 16. Despite Hunter’s strong desire to return to the field, Buffaloes coach Deion Sanders decided against it, emphasizing Hunter’s future and well-being over the game. In a team meeting, Sanders read a text message exchange with Hunter, where Hunter expressed his eagerness to play but was ultimately advised to prioritize his health. Sanders stressed the importance of learning through adversity and facing challenges as a team. Hunter suffered the injury in a game against Colorado State after taking an illegal hit from Colorado State’s Henry Blackburn. In his first three games at Colorado, Hunter made significant contributions on both offense and defense. As a result, Blackburn’s personal information was leaked online. After multiple death threats were sent to Blackburn, Deion came out to condemn the threats from the public and shared that Blackburn had been forgiven.
