Tomekia Reed has been appointed as the new head women’s basketball coach for the Charlotte 49ers, bringing her successful coaching experience from Jackson State. Under Reed’s leadership, Jackson State achieved remarkable success, winning multiple SWAC titles and making significant strides in NCAA tournaments. Reed’s coaching prowess has earned her SWAC Coach of The Year four times (2020, 2022, 2023, 2024). Her commitment to excellence, both on and off the court, makes her a valuable addition to Niner Nation. Reed’s official introduction as head coach will take place on Monday, April 29, at 2:00 p.m. in Halton Arena.
