These former HBCU football players are Super Bowl LVII bound

HBCU football players will be represented in Super Bowl LVII when the Philadelphia Eagles face the Kansas City Chief in Glendale, Arizona on Feb. 13.

In the NFC Championship game, defensive lineman Javon Hargrave, a former South Carolina state player, made one of the three sacks in the Eagles’ versus San Francisco 49ers. Another player by the name of Mac McCain, a reserve, is another HBCU player from North Carolina A&T.

In the AFC Championship game, Kansas City Chief’s Joshua Williams, a former player from Fayetteville State, made a game-changing interception and was assisted by Bryon Cook, a former Howard Bison.
