Senator McConnell acting normal and ready to be discharged

It was previously reported GOP leader Sen. Mitch McConnell was recently hospitalized after a fall during a private event at a Washington DC hotel. According to Josh Holmes, a top McConnell political adviser, the Senate’s longest-serving GOP leader has been urging hospital staff to discharge him. McConnell has been under a doctor’s watch since Wednesday after falling and hitting his head causing him to be treated for a concussion. Holmes shared with CNN that McConnell is acting normally and eager to get out. McConnell has been responding to colleagues but has been forced to limit his screen time because of concussion protocol. According to a person familiar with the matter, McConnell has no visible wounds from the fall. Holmes also made it known that “it’s unquestionable’ that McConnel will be able to continue to serve and continue his role as Senate GOP leader.
