Rep. Maxwell Frost calls out House Speaker McCarthy and Republicans

In a speech on the floor of the House, Rep. Maxwell Frost, the House’s youngest member, criticized House Speaker Kevin McCarthy and the Republican caucus for their inability to gather enough votes to pass significant legislation. He referred to the Republican caucus as a “circus” and accused them of prioritizing politics over the needs of the American people. Frost also criticized Republican attempts to impeach President Biden over his son’s business deals and expressed frustration that instead of focusing on funding the government, they were pursuing impeachment proceedings against Hunter Biden, who is not the president. Frost highlighted the 15-day upcoming government funding deadline and questioned McCarthy’s ability to maintain his own position as Speaker.
