Dominic Pezzola and Ethan Nordean, members of the far-right Proud Boys, have been sentenced for their roles in the January 6, 2021, Capitol riot. Nordean, a leader of the group, was sentenced to 18 years in prison for seditious conspiracy. Pezzola, known for smashing a Capitol window with a riot shield, received a 10-year sentence. Pezzola was acquitted by a jury of the most severe charge of seditious conspiracy. The sentencing comes after Judge Kelly sentenced Joseph Biggs and Zachary Rehl to 17 and 15 years in prison, respectively, for their roles in the riot. Enrique Tarrio, another Proud Boys leader, faces sentencing on Tuesday.
