Prague university gunman identified as David Kozák

David Kozák has been named as the shooter who opened fire at a Prague university (Czech Police)

The identity of the gunman who recently opened fire at a Prague university on Thursday killing at least 14 has been revealed as 24-year-old David Kozák. Kozák opened fire on the fourth floor of Charles University in Jan Palach Square shortly after 3 pm. Police showed up in the city centre and evacuated students and tourists near the building. A short while later, Kozák’s body was found with “devastating injuries.” As of yet, it is unclear how he died. Authorities have confirmed that Kozák was a history student at the university and he acted alone.
