Jackson State beats South Carolina State in MEAC/SWAC Challenge showdown 

In a recent victory, Jackson State University defeated South Carolina State University with a score of 37-7 in the MEAC/SWAC Challenge. Jason Brown, the transfer quarterback from South Carolina, took the lead and showcased his skills with over 360 passing yards and three touchdowns. Running back Irv Mulligan also contributed with over 100 rushing yards and a touchdown. The Jackson State defense dominated, preventing SC State from scoring. This win marks Jackson State’s first victory in Atlanta since 2019, and it holds special significance as it coincides with the start of the T.C. Taylor era. Additionally, famous rapper and Howard University graduate P. Diddy fulfilled his promise by presenting a $1 million check to the Jackson State football program before the game.
