HBCUs Partner with Bloomberg to Increase Financial Acumen in Black Community 

Black students are often underrepresented in the finance industry; however, several HBCUs have partnered with Bloomberg to change that reality. Clark Atlanta University, Howard, Hampton, Morehouse, Morgan State University, Spelman, and FAMU partnered with Bloomberg to teach students how to trade developed markets stocks. The Bloomberg HBCU Trading Challenge is a virtual investment competition designed to increase students’ financial acumen. The challenge provides participants with hands-on experience and mentorship to build the marketable skills needed for successful careers in finance.
