Forbes Names 20 HBCUs That Set Graduates Up for Career and Financial Success

Forbes has released its inaugural ranking of the nation’s top Historically Black Colleges and Universities (HBCUs), highlighting 20 institutions that are helping graduates achieve strong career and financial outcomes. The ranking focuses on the value students receive from their education rather than traditional measures such as selectivity or prestige.

Forbes evaluated HBCUs using factors including graduation and retention rates, alumni earnings, student debt and outcomes for Pell Grant recipients.
