The ChatGPT for Android app has been released on the Google Play Store, following the earlier launch on iOS. Initially available in the US, India, Bangladesh, and Brazil, it has expanded to more countries, including Argentina, Canada, France, Germany, Indonesia, Ireland, Japan, Mexico, Nigeria, the Philippines, the UK, and South Korea. The app’s launch comes after a slight dip in web traffic and app installations in June. OpenAI’s GPT-4 model also powers the Bing AI chatbot on Android, and Google’s Bard AI is available via a web interface only. Apple is reportedly also testing its own chatbot internally.
ChatGPT for Android is now available for download in the US, India, Bangladesh, and Brazil! We plan to expand the rollout to additional countries over the next week. https://t.co/NfBDYZR5GI
